Sean's mom and Cody, Sean's 9-year-old brother, visited us in April during Cody's spring break. We enjoyed introducing them to our close friends, to our church, and we also enjoyed a day in Disneyland together. A highlight of the trip for Cody was going to Japanese elementary school for the day, and checking out a "capsule hotel." You can also see Kadin's swim class in this video. He actually fell asleep floating on his back when these photos were taken!!! April 08
Sean's mom and little brother Cody visited us, and we all went to Disneyland in Tokyo. Kadin had never heard of Mickey until that day, but, as you can see, he had a blast and is ready to go back!!! April 2008
Kadin and Rylee in April 08 -- Rylee, at 5 months, is very vocal! Hear her new "words" and watch her take her first bite of real food. Kadin is enjoying his friends and being a sweet big brother. Watch us having dinner with two families that we are very close to.

Before Rylee was one month-old, she started responding to us with her cute little smiles. It has melted our hearts! These clips were taken from the time that she was only three weeks to about when she was 2 months-old. My favorite clip is about a minute into the video, when Rylee is smiling and talking to her teddy bear mobile. (Dec. 2007)


Kadin turned two years old while his "Mimi," Alice's mom, was visiting us. She was able to shop on the army base here in Tokyo for a very special birthday present. He is totally into trains right now, as you can see from his reactions to his new gift! (Nov. 2007)


Christmas 2007 was very quiet for our growing family. We enjoyed having close Japanese friends over for dinner. We also enjoyed giving Kadin his Christmas present that his "Mimi" and "Pa-paw" bought for him during Alice's mom's trip to Japan. (Dec. 2007)


Kadin is so expressive! He can speak some English and some Japanese. He mixes it most of the time. From what we could actually make out, most of this conversation was in Japanese... "Dokodode" is his version of what a train sounds like, when saying it in Japanese. (Dec. 2007)


A Tokyo love story... Alice made this video for her hubby for Christmas, our fifth Christmas together as a married couple. So much has happened in our lives over the past five years! Get out your tissues...!

Kadin discovers the trampoline, and flirts with the girls at our church family camp in the mountains. We had a blast, and it was wonderful to get away from the hot, humid weather in Tokyo. Kadin is understanding, and trying to speak, Japanese. You can catch a glimpse of that in this video. Also, get a peek at our worship practice.
