Japanese Train Etiquette

IMG_1231

Japanese people, for the most, are very respectful and pretty reserved, especially in public. Most people, even non-Japanese, catch on pretty quickly to the (even unspoken) etiquette on public transportation in Tokyo.

No drinking or eating on the train, no using cell phones, no talking loudly, no sitting on the floor, etc. (The “No talking loudly” part can be hard for Americans!) But, this photo below is one that I have never seen before!

So, if you are going to be visiting Tokyo in the near future, remember, put your make-up on at home!
